WELCOME TO CHOKCHAI MUAY THAI

MUAY THAI TRAINING

Our Muay Thai training class is run twice a day, with all 8 trainers taking the class. You will have time for warming up and stretching, before jumping into technique drills, pad work, bag work, sparring and end with a warm down.


MUAY THAI TRAINING

When sparring, all students will always be wearing protective padding. A minimum of size 14-16 gloves, shin guards and a mouth guard is crucial, this is for the protection of both yourself and your partners. During each session your Chokchai Muay Thai trainers will be supervising, correcting technique, supporting and helping you push yourself. This will benefit you in the way that you will always have someone to ask a question too, and someone looking out for you.

Each session consists of the following:

  • A 30 minute warm up/stretching routine
  • 20 minutes of mirrored Muay Thai shadow boxing
  • 15 minutes of Muay Thai technique work with a partner
  • 3 x 3min rounds of pad work with a trainer
  • 3 x 3min rounds of working on the heavy bags
  • 3 x 3min rounds of Sparring/Clinching
  • 200 alternating front kicks on the heavy bags
  • 200 jump knees on heavy boxing bag
  • 200 sit ups and 200 push-ups (or as many as you can do)
  • Cool down/stretching

* Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays consist of Western Boxing sparring in the morning, and Muay Thai sparring in the afternoon.

* Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays consist of 20minutes of Muay Thai clinching both morning and afternoon.
